WANT TO HAVE A GREAT TIME?

Are you a teen? Do you want to have a crazy time being taken through a survivor-type theatre experience onstage – no talent required? Every night up to three lucky youth will get to go onstage with our cast and be the main characters in their own coming-of-age drama! It's like entering a video game, set up just for you. Teens must sign up ahead of time, and have parent/guardian permission.

Every night we need a new youth (age 12-18) to be the candidate for initiation. The candidates will go through the experience of an initiation like thousands of others did in ancient times. Different from ancient times, however, is that this is in a theatrical setting; there is no actual risk of death as there often was in the real world. We do play a trick on the candidates so that they believe that they could get hurt. Be assured, it is a trick and there is no danger involved. This is to provide an opportunity to show courage.

Theatrical devices are used to show the candidates the dark side of life; the way that life is when we neglect positive social values. At the end the candidates make a statement of affirmation showing that they have seen the bad and will now choose the good.

There is a spiritual flavour to the show.
There is no religion espoused. We have worked hard to keep things universal so individuals of any faith (or none) can happily take part.

Candidates will need to wear comfortable shoes (sneakers are best) pants (jeans are fine, no skirts please) and a shirt. They will get wet and dirty so don't wear the best clothes in the closet. Bring dry clothes to go home in.
